Day 97...
Davis is still in the NICU. He had an episode on Wednesday and that bought him additional days in the lock up. He's scheduled to come home on Monday, assuming he doesn't have any more episodes between now and then. Davis will have an apnea monitor when he gets home. If he decides to take a break from breathing, a very loud and high pitched alarm will go off. If that doesn't scare the snot out of him and make him breathe, at least Lindsey and I will hear it and we can go in and poke him. Other than that, he's doing well. He's still eating well and steadily gaining weight. He weighed 7 pounds and 1 ounce last night! He's getting big (and heavy)!
Lilly is doing well at home. A whole lot of eating and sleeping (Lilly's sleeping... not so much sleep for mom and dad). Not sure how much she weighs... but she's looking bigger.
Lilly and Davis' Story
Lilly Mae and Davis Anthony were born on Sunday, December 4th. They were born at 25 weeks and 5 days of gestation.
Lilly was born first at 9:56PM. She weighed 1 pound and 14 ounces and was 13.25 inches long. Her head was 24 cm in circumference (slightly smaller than a baseball).
Davis was born at 10:07PM... 11 minutes after his sister (something she'll never let him forget). He weighed 1 pound and 13 ounces. He was 13 inches long and had the same size head as his sister.
Both were taken to the NICU directly after delivery and are expected to be there until their original due date, March 12th (that's exactly 100 days in the NICU!)
Please keep these little ones in your thoughts and prayers and hopefully we will get to bring them home sooner!
